Climate
Norway's climate is less severe than might be expected from its geographical location. An interesting phenomenon in Norway is the seasonal change in the length of day and night.

In midwinter, daylight lasts less than six hours in the southern part of the country, while in the far north darkness prevails.

In midsummer, daylight takes over and there is no "real" night during June and July, even as far south as Trondheim.
